Technical Information for Secondary Windows
Aluminium
Aluminium alloys are extruded to exclusive designs from 6063T6 alloy in accordance
with BS1474.
Assembly & Site Fixings
Dependant upon the Type
of Secondary Glazing Unit, a combination of Concealed Aluminium Cleats, BZP &
Stainless Steel Screws.
Sub-Frames
Sub-Frames are manufactured
from seasoned Hardwood.
Finishing Trims
Finishing Trims are
manufactured form Hardwood, Softwood, or uPVC, according to the Application &
Internal Décor.
Finishes
All Aluminium Sections are Natural
Anodised to AA5 BS3987 or Polyester Powder Coated to BS6496 with a 60 Micron High
Gloss Finish.
Stock finishes are held in EP white & Van Dyke brown.
Any Other RAL colour or Special Finish is available upon request.
Weather Piles
Weather piles are Polypropylene Draught Strips to BS7386.
Gaskets
All gaskets are extruded to BS2782, standard colour black - white
gasket also available.
Sealants
A combination of Decorators Caulk Permanently Flexible Bedding Compound
& Colour Matched Silicone Sealants.
Coupling & Stacking of Secondary Glazed units
All Products can be Coupled or Stacked with other Products in our
Range using our extensive range of Matching Interlocks & Couplers.
Glazing
All of our Secondary Glazing is Glazed in Accordance with Building
Regulations - SEE
