Overlooking The Thames from Monument, Faryners House is a 7 storey commercial building, comprising 6 floors of offices over ground floor commercial/retail premises.

Granada were invited to tender for the Secondary Glazing element of the Ł7 million internal refit during March 2007.

ISG were appointed Main Contractor during June & Granada Secondary Glazing were awarded the Secondary Glazing contract at the beginning of July.

The contract consisted of the Supply & Installation of over 700 Horizontally Sliding Units colour matched to RAL 9010 for Noise & Thermal Insulation.

Glazing was 6mm Pilkington K Toughened Low E.

During the works the building was fitted with air conditioning and our standard SS2 units were therefore specified to include a bespoke security & anti dust-trap section to ensure that panels could only be removed for maintenance.

Phase 1, comprising 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors, commenced Mid October and was completed just before Christmas 2007.

Phase 2, comprising the 3 upper floors, started during February 2008, with completion during March.

Of the 27 Contractors working on Site, Granada were Awarded "5th Best Contractor"

Completed during 2007 this unique project was Specified for Noise & Thermal Insulation with Discreet, Unobtrusive Patient Observation.

Large Secondary Glazing Hinged Units with Hydraulic Gas Struts, Remote Controlled Electronic Venetian Blinds & Liquid Crystal Technology Glass (can be switched from translucent to opaque) to provide Discreet Observation, Temperature & Noise Control.

As part of those works, Granada Secondary Glazing installed over 100 Secondary Windows for Noise & Thermal Insulation, many of them Bespoke & Special Application Units.
